We must remember also, as Christians, "our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ" (Philippians 3:20). Heaven is our true home and heritage -- but, America, remember your heritage, that of the founding fathers. "Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage" (Psalm 33:12).
The Christian perspective isn't very well accepted nowadays anymore. But, while many think that they are beating us by suppressing that, they need to read John 15:19, "If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. Because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world—therefore the world hates you." I'd like to thank the world because by doing what they do, they fulfill scripture and prove God indirectly.
As a few closing comments, I'd like everyone -- Democrats and Republicans alike -- to consider 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, "...work with your hands, as we directed you, so that you may behave properly toward outsiders and be dependent on no one." Be self-sufficient, not a country of entitled people. Hard work is rewarding, just as rewarding as the reward of what you're working for, sometimes.
Lastly, some encouragement for my brothers and sisters in the faith: "For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
