Well another NaNoWriMo is in the books and it was quite a month. I finished up with 50,109 words this year for the win. I love having thousands of writers all going for the same goal: getting a novel written in one month. It's a crazy time but it's totally worth it. November is one of my favorite times of year because as a writer I love having this challenge.
For those of you that don't know what NaNoWriMo is (a lot of times called NaNo), you write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days -- the month of November. It's crazy, it's intense, it's stressful, but mostly it's fun! If you're a writer, you HAVE TO try NaNo!
You also get to hang with other friends who are writers and encourage one another at events called "write-ins" which are about half writing and half socializing. Then at these events you do what's called a "word war." What they are is for a set time you write furiously in a comeptition. Whoever gets the most words in the set time wins.
NaNo is so much fun and I look foward to it every year. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask in a comment or through my contact page.
